Who ?

Valérie Blandeau is one of the leading Employment names in Paris and is currently managing partner of Pinsent Masons, Paris, as well as head of Employment. Having primarily worked in UK firms in Paris, she is uniquely positioned to help French and foreign clients navigate complex employment law issues across a range of sectors including telecommunications, retail, recycling, tech and pharmaceuticals.

Her non-French clients operating in France appreciate her perfect understanding of cultural differences and use her extensively to explain French regulation. She has also specific skills in internal investigations and has been a regular external consultant for some leading international organisations since 2019 and is their lead consultant in investigations for moral and/or physical violence against women.

Diverting to a legal career after studying medicine, she has applied her scientific background and numeracy skills to create tech-led tools facilitating financial evaluations, in particular in the context of restructurings or individual termination.

Valérie was highly involved in the implementation of numerous agreements on the reduction of working time following the implementation of the 35 hours law in 2000. This continues to have a great impact in France and Valerie co-wrote a book on the topic: 35 hours in figures and letters.  
 

Fluent in English, she regularly writes editorial for the legal press and has authored various publications on working time.
